Video karaoke has landed on the Xbox 360 with “Lips: Number One Hits”. Lips is the only singing game offering wireless motion sensitive microphones with the ability to sing from your own collection of DRM-free songs.
AKQA has taken Xbox Lips digital with the ‘Lips Jukebox’ on Facebook, which enables users to transform their photos into music videos, in a bid to promote the new game ‘Lips Number One Hits’.
The application is hosted at the Xbox website, and uses a combination of facial recognition technology and Facebook Connect functionality to enable people to choose a song and the photos they want to adapt from their profile before adding singing ‘Lips’ to the faces and then creating the animated, personalised music video.
Additionally here is a video that shows the actual product in action…

I don’t know if this will help print save itself, but regular use of AR in print will definetly push users to buy the print edition of a magazine, especially when the content on the other end is something unique and exclusive.

Volvo is aiming to move away from its perception as a cold Swedish marque, more famous for just being safe, with an emotion-led brand campaign.
A global campaign, by incumbent ad agency Sapient Nitro, focuses on making Volvo a more ‘modern, innovative and engaging’ brand. The activity is built around the line, ‘There’s more to life than a Volvo’.

Copy for the print ad reads: ‘There’s more to life than a Volvo. There’s running off for a weekend, with no phone reception. Running into an old friend and rolling back the years. Running into your ex and running right past. […] And there’s not running into the car ahead of you, in your XC60. That’s why you drive one.’
In Germany we see a very unique 3D projection taking place to drive home the ‘There’s more to life than a Volvo’.
The 3D projection video you are about to see has been done in Frankfurt and produced by NuFormer in co-orporation with Saatchi & Saatchi.

Todd Jamison happens to be the unfortunate owner of the crushed 2004 Hyundai Elantra that played a starring role in a recent viral YouTube video.
Here is the security footage from October 22, 2009 in an Ontario, Canada parking lot. It highlights the worst parking job ever… 😆
Not so fast…the folks at Hyundai Canada seized the opportunity to be the heroes in this story, and surprised Jamison with a brand new 2010 Hyundai Elantra Touring on October 30, 2009.
They also captured the moment on film… 😎
Only available from New Year’s Day to Easter Day, the Cadbury Creme Egg is one of the best selling confections in the U.S., Canada, and the United Kingdom.
In a bid to boost Creme Egg sales in the lead-up to Easter, Cadbury’s has come up with some really unique bus shelter in UK.

Waiting for a bus is boring. Now though, you can fill this time by playing Cadbury’s first ever-interactive outdoor game called Splat the Egg.
Is this the future of advertising – every lamp post and bus shelter calling out to be stroked, touched or hit? 🙂
For those who wont have the chance to experience the real thing…you can have a go at the online version…
