BMW i window into the near future

The upcoming BMW i vehicles are very futuristic looking and will be available as soon as late 2013. To create awareness for the BMW i Born Electric Tour in New York City and reinforce the message that the future is closer than you think. BMW turned a street-level window at the event location into a digital reflection of passing traffic, transforming the passing cars into BMW i3s and i8s to give passersby a glimpse into the near future. 😎

It’s Christmas Time Again!

Its that time of the year again! So here is my last and very Christmassy post for the year. 😉

Lufthansa recently posted a humorous video that they recorded at a German Christmas market right in the center of Birmingham, England. At the market passers-by were invited to a fun Lufthansa Christmas Language School, where they were challenged to say the German word “Gewürzspekulatius”. 😎

Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year and I would also like to take this opportunity to wish all my readers a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year with this lovely TV ad created by Best Buy in USA.

Until 2013! Over and out. 🙂

Sprint Unlimited Love Billboard

Sprint in USA has created an integrated advertising campaign for the launch of the HTC EVO 4G LTE phone on their network.

To launch EVO in New York City they setup an interactive billboard in Times Square that encouraged its visitors to tweet things they love with #EVOLOVE to @sprint. Then with the help of local experts the billboard re-tweeted locations of where these things of love could be discovered in New York City. 😎

How far will you go for Fantastic Delites?

How far will human lab mice go for Fantastic Delites?

Flavoured rice snack brand Fantastic Delites along with agency Clemenger BBDO have created a crazy stunt that tests just how far people will go to get what they want. This stunt follows the interactive vending machine installation created earlier this year where people had to continuously push a button and perform actions to get a free bag of Fantastic Delites. 🙂

In the below lab mice stunt, the audience gets to witness some pretty hilarious tumbles that occur as the participants dressed in mouse costumes attempt to keep pace inside the wheel without falling down.

The Sing For Me Machine

Coca Cola Sing For Me Machine

As part of its global “Open Happiness” campaign, Coca-Cola has set up interactive vending machines in various parts of the world. In Singapore the consumers could hug for a Coke, in Korea they could dance for a Coke…

and now in Stockholm they can sing for a Coke. 🙂 The vending machine has been placed at the Royal Institute of Technology with the sign “Sing For Me” in the front…

World’s first 3D printing photo booth

Ever wanted a life-like miniature action figure of yourself? Omote 3D has made that possible by setting up the world’s first 3D printing photo booth for a limited time at the Eye of Gyre exhibition space in Harajuku, Japan.

From November 24th to January 13th, 2013 people with reservations will be able to have their bodies scanned into a computer. Then instead of a photograph they will receive miniature replicas of themselves. 😎

The miniature replicas are available in 3 sizes i.e. S (10cm), M (15cm) and L (20cm) for US$264, US$403 and US$528, respectively.

Red Stripe Musical Extravaganza

Red Stripe, a Jamaican Lager Beer brand transformed an ordinary looking East London corner shop into a singing, dancing, musical extravaganza. Products from all over the shop were turned into instruments that burst into a musical melody when a Red Stripe was selected by a customer – noodle pots became maracas, bottles turned into trumpets and cans into xylophone. 🙂

10 hidden cameras were installed to capture the customers reactions…

Live Human Outdoor

With the new Samsung Note 10.1, caricature artists can now go digital. To highlight this feature and also raise awareness about the tablet, Samsung put a real caricature artist digitally into their billboard and then had him draw live caricatures of passers-by. The finished drawings were then put on the Samsung Portugal Facebook page.

Ikea Catalogue Countdown Room

In July this year I had written about how Ikea had re-imagined their 2013 catalog with visual recognition technology that brought its pages and offerings within to life.

Now to launch it in Singapore and Malaysia they decided to build some excitement in order to break away from the yearly expectations of the catalogue arrival. So they teamed up with Leo Burnett Singapore to create a special interactive in-store catalogue countdown room that was then broadcasted live on their Facebook page…

“StartCap” the first digitally enabled bottle top

Italian cider brand Strongbow Gold is currently testing what is being dubbed the world’s first digitally enabled bottle top. On being triggered the bottle top activates a surprise that makes the users night more refreshing, more unexpected and more exciting.

For its first public appearance the Strongbow Gold team rigged an entire bar in central Budapest with RFID readers, antennas and wires. Then during the night StartCap triggered a string of memorable activations…
